Task: Employment Verification

To submit your application for the CESP™ certification examination, you must submit verification from your current (or previous) employer  verifying your work history as an employment support professional. 

The "Employer Verification" task on the application itself (www.apse.smapply.org) requires that you enter between 1-3 individuals to provide the verification. They then will receive an email with instructions to log in and the form to submit. 

This is required to be completed before you are able to fully submit your application..

You are not able to 'Mark as Complete' until the individual has completed their recommendation or you have withdrawn the request (if requesting more than.

  • If you have less than 1 year of work experience with this employer, please ask for additional recommendations to verify employment or have your current employer state that you were hired with previous experience as an employment support professional. Also, please ensure your resume reflects this information.

The first step is to open the Employer Verification task.

Scroll down and click  Request a Recommendation

You can add more recommendations (up to 3). Each individual will receive an email to complete the verification.

Complete the Send Recommendation form
Enter the individual's first name 
Enter the individual's last name 
Enter the individual's email 
Enter a message to the individual (Optional)

Scroll down and click  Send Request

After the recommendations have been completed you will need to log back in to mark the task as complete
